Hey Mr.P, what exactly should we have finished for school on thursday, because it seems like i am missing a few pages or exercises for some reason.

- Assignment 8 Geometric Sequences and Series
ReplyDelete- All the worksheets from Conics unit
- You should have answered (worked on) questions from the green review booklet
Is it just the assignments in the unit 8 book or is there like a seperate assignment, because if it is seperate from the book then i don't have that.
ReplyDeleteMr.P
ReplyDeleteYou didn't gave us assignment# 8, we just have the assignments after the every lesson of geometric series. We don't have any separate assignment# 8, but we have assignment#6 from the conics Unit.
The Assignment 8 consists of 3 small assignments included in the Geometric Sequences and Series booklet.
ReplyDeleteThose are too long assignment and I have questions about those. Can I just hand it in on Monday or Friday. So that I can understand the questions and do them when I come to class tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteMost of the questions require you to use formulas provided, substitute and solve for the unknown.
ReplyDeleteI know but what about the #2 on page13 in booklet and #4 on the page 6
ReplyDeleteFor #2 find the common ratio first (r)(Notice that at this point the common ratio will have an x in its value), then substitute known values into the Infinite Geometric Series Formula to calculate x. Then plug that value into the common ratio formula to calculate r.
ReplyDeleteIn #4 again all you are given are the terms in a sequence with variable x. To find x you should use the formula #1 on page 2 (4th from the bottom), substitute the values and solve for x.
Hope this helps you. See you tomorrow.
